Each Spring, Epworth Village Retirement Community hosts its annual golf tournament to benefit the 370 residents of the Epworth community. Supporters of Epworth – an Independent and Assisted Living Facility located in Hialeah, FL – tee off mid-morning and play 18 holes until late in the afternoon while enjoying the company of community leaders, healthcare advocates, and Epworth employees. The annual charity event concludes with a raffle drawing with awards that have been donated by event sponsors, most of which have supported Epworth for over 70 years. The proceeds from recent tournaments that attracts approximately 120 golfers and 40 sponsors each year have been used to renovate the Epworth gymnasium, to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for residents and to continuously update the recreation areas for the residents.

Epworth Village’s Fall Fundraiser is a Casino Night held at Shula’s Hotel in Miami Lakes. Our wonderful sponsors help us raise money every year by sponsoring the event and prizes. Individual tickets are also sold to help raise funds for the Epworth Village community. Guests dress up for a fun-filled night that includes a catered dinner, dessert station, domino tournament, casino games, music, and entertainment. In addition to sponsorships, funds are raised through ticket and chip sales throughout the night. Each guest’s winnings are exchanged for raffle tickets and excellent prizes are raffled at the end of the night. It’s always a wonderful night and all the proceeds go to improving the community for the Epworth Village residents.
